How long will my tents last?
The average life of your tents are over 5 years with reasonable care. I have seen some
careless campers who never used their tents again after their first camping trips. Here
are some tips for longer use of your tents:
- Take down your tent when not in use. Continuous sunlight may deteriorate the tent fabric.
No tent fabric can survive, if continuously exposed to sunlight for over a month.
- Before dismantling your tent, brush off any dirt, grass and other debris inside and out.
Dismantle your tent only when it is completely dry. If you have to pack it while wet,
try to pitch it in the same afternoon so that it can dry before nightfall.
- Do not store your tent while wet or on a concrete floor. Should discoloration
or a musty odor develop, treat by scrubbing with a soft bristle brush.
- Do not machine wash your tent. Use mild detergent only.
Can I use my tent year-round?
Your tent is not a 4-season tent. This requires specially treated fabric, poles, and
design. A 4-season tent costs considerably more. Our tent is designed for hikers and
weekend campers, ideally used at a temperature of 45º or higher. Remember that
temperatures may drop drastically at night and proper clothing and sleeping bags are
recommended. Do not use oxygen-consuming devices, (i.e. lanterns, stoves, candles,
hibachis, heaters) in or around your tent. This could result in carbon monoxide poisoning,
injury, and/or death.
Is my tent fire safe?
Your tent is made with flame-resistant fabric, which is designed to self-extinguish
when removed from flame. However, it is not fireproof. The fabric will burn if in contact
with an outside flame source. Caution should be observed when an open flame appliance is
used near the tent. Build your campfire in a safe distance from your tent.
- Do not use fuel-burning, oxygen-consuming devices inside your tent.
- Do not use heating, lighting, or cooking equipment with open flames in or near your tent.
- Keep all children under adult supervision.
- Do not leave campfires unattended.
Is
my tent rain safe?
Yes, your tent is water-repellent. However, it is not waterproof.
No tent is waterproof, because it could cause suffocation.
During heavy rain, some leakage may occur. Keep objects from
touching the inside of the tent since such objects may cause
leakage at point of contact.
The seam is the most vulnerable part of your tent. As you
use your tent, the needle holes may stretch, which may cause
leakage through the seam. If seam leakage occurs, apply a
seam sealer compound, which may be purchased at most sporting
goods stores.
After several years of use, you may experience some leakage
through the fabric. You may apply a water-repellent compound
on your tent fabric. This will temporarily improve fabric
leakage. However, this compound may eventually deteriorate
the fabric, and may increase the possibility of suffocation.
Check to make sure the compounds you purchase are free from
this risk.
What
is condensation?
People exhale a tremendous amount of air while sleeping.
This gathers at the top of your tent and becomes water droplets
due to temperature differences between the inside and outside
of your tent.
To improve this situation, ventilate your tent. This can
be easily accomplished by opening the door and windows slightly
to allow the temperatures to balance.
Is
my tent zipper self-repairing?
Yes. If you find the zipper open somewhere in the middle,
pull the zipper slider all the way down and slide it up to
the other end slowly. This will repair your zipper.
Never force a zipper that has material caught in it, as this
might bend the slider, tear fabric, and prevent closing.
I can
not find the manual. Can I get another one?
Care Instructions and Assembly Instruction are packed with
your tent.
You can also get the same information through our web site.
Print them out and keep them with your tents.

bags are cold. Before getting into your sleeping bags, fluff
them to fill the holes with air.

Vacuum
Bottles & Mugs |
|
| |
How
long will my vacuum bottle/mug last?
Virtually, it is forever. Your bottle/mug is made with unbreakable
stainless steel. It never breaks even if you fall it down.
It may dent, but it does not hurt your bottle/mug functionally.
By using the bottle/mug, it may loosen plastic parts of cap,
lid or stopper. You can replace the parts to get brand-new
performance of your bottle/mug. The replacement parts are
free of charge within warranty period. After the period, those
are parts are sold at minimum costs. Those parts are listed
on the Replacement Parts page.
How
long does my vacuum bottle/mug hold hot water?
] It depends upon models of your bottle/mug and room (or
outside) temperature of your bottle/mug is placed. Our lab
test shows that, in room temperature of 68ºF, 203ºF hot water
never cools down below 122ºF for 16 hours (Sport Bottles)
to 24 hrs (Vacuum Bottles). Mugs can hold hot water up to
4 hrs. For best performance, we recommend you to preheat or
pre-cool your bottle/mug right before use.
Can
I use the bottle/mug for any liquid?
You can use the bottle/mug for water, tea, coffee, etc.
hot or cold. Only one exception is dairy product. This is
not a cooler. Dairy product in your bottle/mug can deteriorate
faster than that in room temperature. This may cause mildew
in the bottle/mug, which hardly wash out. We ask your caution
when drink hot water directly from your bottle/mug. Since
those products are vacuum insulated, you cannot imagine real
water temperature inside the bottle/mug by touching the surface.
Is my bottle/mug dishwasher safe?
Yes, your bottle/mug is dishwasher safe. But never overheat during machine wash.
This may shrink plastic parts of your bottle/mug and result in leakage or poor
insulation. Dishwasher sometimes does not clean the bottle/mug deep inside.
Use brush and mild detergent to clean deep inside the bottle/mug.
Be sure to store your bottle/mug completely dry.If your bottle/mug makes bad odor,
use baking soda to clean it up.
